About Us

Sizing Skis Since 2014!

We built SkiSizeCalculator.com because too many size charts are just lazy. Punch in your height, spit out a number, and call it good. But if you’ve ever skied on something that felt totally wrong, you know it’s not that simple.

We’ve worked in ski shops, tested more skis than we can count, and helped everyone from first-timers to experts. Because the right ski length isn’t just about stats – it’s about how you ski, where you ski, and how you want your setup to feel.

If you’re stuck between sizes or just want to make sure you’re not making a weird call, give us a shout!

Hi, I’m Michael. I started SkiSizeCalculator.com because I kept seeing the same thing over and over: good skiers stuck with the wrong skis.

In the shop, people would come in hyped to buy new gear—but end up choosing whatever was trending or recommended by a friend. Then they’d come back frustrated, wondering why their new setup felt off.

The truth? Most ski sizing advice out there is either too vague or overly complicated. After years of fitting skis (and snowboards), testing gear, and helping skiers fine-tune their setups, I wanted to build something better. A tool that helps you find skis that match how you actually ski.

This site is here to cut through the noise and give you real, practical sizing help—so you can spend more time skiing and less time second-guessing your gear.

The Crew

Eric Francis – Speed Addict

  • Home Mountain: St Anton, Austria
  • Style: Full-send carving, high-speed arcs, deep trenches
  • Background: Ski tester, racer & tech rep
  • Advice: “Most skiers size too short and then wonder why their skis chatter or feel unstable when things get fast. If you’re serious about edge hold and precision, don’t shy away from a longer ski. When it’s sized right, a ski should feel planted and smooth when you’re fully laid over—not like it’s about to let go.”

Jess "J" Andrews – All-Mountain assassin

  • Home Mountain: St Anton, Austria
  • Style: All-Mountain. Literally anything goes.
  • Background: Ski fitter
  • Advice: “99% of skiers are better off on a mid-length all-mountain ski than the hyper-specialized nonsense the brands are forcing down our throats. Get a few seasons under your belt before branching out!”
